2022-2023. MONSTER defamiliarizes the human form to interrogate the body (what makes a body normal or able, gendered experiences of the body, and the relationship between the Self and its container). In picturing myself interacting with my image via the mirror, MONSTER represents the self/embodiment binary while creating new, satisfyingly cohesive bodily forms.
